The Unity health centre yard needs a covered market stall space - Hatem's neighborhood project

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 27 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Unity health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $720, and the remaining cost is $1,750. It will serve about 261 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $1,750 goes: • Materials: $850 • Permits and inspections: $250 • Safety equipment and signage: $220 • Tools hire and delivery: $430 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen. - Hatem
