The Unity community hall needs a skate park - Zhi's neighborhood project
Volunteers in El Paso are raising $4,050 for a skate park at the Unity community hall.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Unity community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $4,050.
It will serve about 155 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.

• Tools hire and delivery: $530

More neighborhoods should do this. I went through something like this 6 years ago and strangers helped me out
