The Unity community hall needs a community garden - Runa's neighborhood project

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 29 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Unity community hall, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $50. It will serve about 536 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $50 goes: • Permits and inspections: $25 • Safety equipment and signage: $20 • Tools hire and delivery: $5 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
