The Union vacant lot needs a community fridge - Samuele's neighborhood project

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 17 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Union vacant lot, but no funding. We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $350, and the remaining cost is $1,950. It will serve about 100 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $1,950 goes: • Materials: $1,250 • Permits and inspections: $150 • Safety equipment and signage: $260 • Tools hire and delivery: $290 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
