The Union health centre yard needs a solar-powered water pump - Đào's neighborhood project

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 10 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Union health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $4,400. It will serve about 155 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $4,400 goes: • Materials: $3,150 • Permits and inspections: $380 • Safety equipment and signage: $220 • Tools hire and delivery: $650 Thanks for being kind about this. - Đào
