The Union community hall needs a repair café workshop - Zewditu's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Hawassa are raising $550 for a repair café workshop at the Union community hall.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 22 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Union community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $550.
It will serve about 391 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $550 goes:
• Materials: $400
• Permits and inspections: $30
• Safety equipment and signage: $45
• Tools hire and delivery: $75
