The Union community hall needs a free library and reading room - Sơn's neighborhood project

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a free library and reading room. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Union community hall, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $450. It will serve about 578 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $450 goes: • Safety equipment and signage: $50 • Permits and inspections: $20 • Materials: $380 Thanks for reading all this. - Sơn
