The Sycamore vacant lot needs a repair café workshop - Luis's neighborhood project

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 29 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Sycamore vacant lot, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $2,000. It will serve about 592 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $2,000 goes: • Materials: $1,550 • Permits and inspections: $85 • Tools hire and delivery: $365 Thank you for reading my story. - Luis
