The Sycamore health centre yard needs a solar-powered water pump - Tariq's neighborhood project
A community-led a solar-powered water pump at the Sycamore health centre yard that will serve 199 neighbors.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Sycamore health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $550.
It will serve about 199 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $550 goes:
• Materials: $440
• Permits and inspections: $45
• Safety equipment and signage: $35
• Tools hire and delivery: $30
