The Sycamore health centre yard needs a sensory garden for children with autism - Elena's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Yekaterinburg are raising $850 for a sensory garden for children with autism at the Sycamore health centre yard.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 19 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Sycamore health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $350, and the remaining cost is $850.
It will serve about 268 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $850 goes:
• Materials: $480
• Permits and inspections: $120
• Safety equipment and signage: $80
• Tools hire and delivery: $170
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
