The Sycamore health centre yard needs a community fridge - Tiffany's neighborhood project
Volunteers in San Jose are raising $4,500 for a community fridge at the Sycamore health centre yard.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 19 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Sycamore health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $4,500.
It will serve about 124 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $4,500 goes:
• Materials: $3,600
• Permits and inspections: $340
• Safety equipment and signage: $230
• Tools hire and delivery: $330
