The Sycamore health centre yard needs a community fridge - Maryam's neighborhood project

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 25 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Sycamore health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $165, and the remaining cost is $300. It will serve about 486 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $300 goes: • Materials: $230 • Safety equipment and signage: $35 • Tools hire and delivery: $35 With deep gratitude, Maryam
