The Sycamore community hall needs a solar-powered water pump - Swetha's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Mumbai are raising $400 for a solar-powered water pump at the Sycamore community hall.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 11 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Sycamore community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $400.
It will serve about 446 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in April and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $400 goes:
• Materials: $280
• Permits and inspections: $20
• Safety equipment and signage: $60
• Tools hire and delivery: $40
Thanks for being kind about this.

Hang in there, Swetha. Shared it with a few friends. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
