The Sycamore community hall needs a repair café workshop - Edgardo's neighborhood project

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 19 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Sycamore community hall, but no funding. We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $210, and the remaining cost is $550. It will serve about 557 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $550 goes: • Materials: $370 • Permits and inspections: $60 • Safety equipment and signage: $80 • Tools hire and delivery: $40 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure. - Edgardo
