The Sycamore community hall needs a repair café workshop - Dimas's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a repair café workshop - we need $500 for materials.
🇮🇩 Central Java, Indonesia722 views
For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Sycamore community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $500.
It will serve about 460 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $500 goes:
• Materials: $400
• Permits and inspections: $40
• Tools hire and delivery: $60
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Dimas.
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. materials comes first ($400) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. I'll keep the page updated.
Hope things get better soon, Dimas. Shared this with my family. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. All the best.
thinking of you, Dimas. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We're a small family in Sacramento but we're thinking of you.
