The Pioneer vacant lot needs a community fridge - Madeline's neighborhood project
Volunteers in London are raising $850 for a community fridge at the Pioneer vacant lot.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 19 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Pioneer vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $330, and the remaining cost is $850.
It will serve about 561 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $850 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $310
• Permits and inspections: $180
• Safety equipment and signage: $360
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Madeline
Thinking of you and your family. Gave what I could, wish it was more. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Blessings.
best of luck. Hope you get there. I went through something like this 9 years ago and strangers helped me out
Wishing you peace. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Thinking of London
