The old Unity bus depot needs a community fridge - Tigist's neighborhood project

We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community fridge - we need $350 for materials.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 22 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Unity bus depot, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $350. It will serve about 255 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $350 goes: • Tools hire and delivery: $25 • Materials: $300 • Permits and inspections: $25 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen. - Tigist
