The old Union bus depot needs a solar-powered water pump - Madhu's neighborhood project
A community-led a solar-powered water pump at the old Union bus depot that will serve 131 neighbors.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 30 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Union bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $450.
It will serve about 131 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $450 goes:
• Materials: $330
• Permits and inspections: $20
• Safety equipment and signage: $20
• Tools hire and delivery: $80
