For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 11 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Sycamore bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $2,350.
It will serve about 566 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in January and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,350 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $160
• Materials: $1,850
• Permits and inspections: $340
Thanks for being kind about this.

Rooting for you, Quang. Hope this works out for you. I went through something like this 9 years ago and strangers helped me out. Love from Los Angeles
