The old Sycamore bus depot needs a community fridge - Hira's neighborhood project

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 8 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Sycamore bus depot, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $350. It will serve about 493 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $350 goes: • Materials: $270 • Permits and inspections: $10 • Safety equipment and signage: $40 • Tools hire and delivery: $30 With deep gratitude, Hira
