The old Pioneer bus depot needs a community fridge - Piper's neighborhood project
A community-led a community fridge at the old Pioneer bus depot that will serve 92 neighbors.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 30 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Pioneer bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $2,500.
It will serve about 92 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in April and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $2,500 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $400
• Permits and inspections: $185
• Materials: $1,915
Every share and every dollar helps.

Wishing you the best, Piper. This could happen to any of us. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
