The old Maple bus depot needs a solar-powered water pump - Rania's neighborhood project

We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a solar-powered water pump - we need $1,100 for materials.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 10 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Maple bus depot, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $1,100. It will serve about 228 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
