The old Maple bus depot needs a skate park - Willow's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Reading are raising $4,250 for a skate park at the old Maple bus depot.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 29 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Maple bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $4,250.
It will serve about 229 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $4,250 goes:
• Materials: $3,200
• Permits and inspections: $360
• Safety equipment and signage: $210
• Tools hire and delivery: $480
