The old Maple bus depot needs a skate park - Obiageli's neighborhood project
A community-led a skate park at the old Maple bus depot that will serve 197 neighbors.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 9 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Maple bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $600.
It will serve about 197 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $600 goes:
• Materials: $440
• Permits and inspections: $45
• Safety equipment and signage: $60
• Tools hire and delivery: $55
