The old Maple bus depot needs a covered market stall space - Selim's neighborhood project

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Maple bus depot, but no funding. We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $650. It will serve about 142 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $650 goes: • Materials: $450 • Permits and inspections: $50 • Safety equipment and signage: $70 • Tools hire and delivery: $80 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to. - Selim
