The old Lotus bus depot needs a repair café workshop - Eko's neighborhood project

We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a repair café workshop - we need $200 for materials.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 15 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Lotus bus depot, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $200. It will serve about 437 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $200 goes: • Tools hire and delivery: $85 • Safety equipment and signage: $80 • Permits and inspections: $35 If you're reading this, thank you. - Eko
