The old Liberty bus depot needs a solar-powered water pump - Amol's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Mumbai are raising $600 for a solar-powered water pump at the old Liberty bus depot.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 27 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Liberty bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $600.
It will serve about 103 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.

• Materials: $470
• Permits and inspections: $20
• Safety equipment and signage: $45
• Tools hire and delivery: $65
