The old Jacaranda bus depot needs a community garden - Manuel's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community garden - we need $550 for materials.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 26 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Jacaranda bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $250, and the remaining cost is $550.
It will serve about 557 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $550 goes:
• Materials: $450
• Permits and inspections: $25
• Safety equipment and signage: $40
• Tools hire and delivery: $35
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
