The old Freedom bus depot needs a skate park - Isha's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Vadodara are raising $250 for a skate park at the old Freedom bus depot.
🇮🇳 Vadodara, Gujarat, India1,178 views
For three years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 11 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Freedom bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $250.
It will serve about 312 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $250 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $50
• Safety equipment and signage: $35
• Materials: $165
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
