The old Freedom bus depot needs a sensory garden for children with autism - Sergei's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Saint Petersburg are raising $350 for a sensory garden for children with autism at the old Freedom bus depot.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 12 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Freedom bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $350.
It will serve about 352 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $350 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $115
• Permits and inspections: $60
• Tools hire and delivery: $175
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Good luck, Sergei. Hope you get there. Greetings from Newcastle upon Tyne.
So sorry you're going through this. Shared it with a few friends. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Greetings from Jalandhar.
