The old Freedom bus depot needs a community fridge - Armando's neighborhood project
A community-led a community fridge at the old Freedom bus depot that will serve 248 neighbors.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 18 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Freedom bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $1,650.
It will serve about 248 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in April and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $1,650 goes:
• Materials: $1,050
• Permits and inspections: $175
• Safety equipment and signage: $115
• Tools hire and delivery: $310
