The old Cedar bus depot needs a solar-powered water pump - Hussein's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a solar-powered water pump - we need $3,750 for materials.
🇺🇸 Los Angeles, California, United States1,028 views
For five years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 28 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Cedar bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $3,750.
It will serve about 254 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $3,750 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $370
• Tools hire and delivery: $470
• Materials: $2,910
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

This could happen to any of us. Put this on a community board in Bologna this morning. All the best.
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My husband and I read this together. God bless
Shared it with a few friends. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Greetings from Aurangabad.
