The old Baobab bus depot needs a skate park - Santiago's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Cincinnati are raising $2,850 for a skate park at the old Baobab bus depot.
🇺🇸 Cincinnati, Ohio, United States1,088 views
For three years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 15 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Baobab bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $2,850.
It will serve about 132 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $2,850 goes:
• Materials: $1,900
• Permits and inspections: $300
• Safety equipment and signage: $320
• Tools hire and delivery: $330
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Sending good thoughts, Santiago. Hope you get there. We're a small family in Bergamo but we're thinking of you. Blessings.
