The old Baobab bus depot needs a rainwater harvesting system - Darshan's neighborhood project
A community-led a rainwater harvesting system at the old Baobab bus depot that will serve 476 neighbors.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 28 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Baobab bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $350.
It will serve about 476 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $350 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $40
• Materials: $270
• Safety equipment and signage: $40
With deep gratitude,
Darshan
