The old Baobab bus depot needs a covered market stall space - Audrey's neighborhood project
A community-led a covered market stall space at the old Baobab bus depot that will serve 214 neighbors.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 9 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Baobab bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $2,150.
It will serve about 214 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,150 goes:
• Materials: $870
• Permits and inspections: $260
• Safety equipment and signage: $420
• Tools hire and delivery: $600
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

So sorry you're going through this. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Love from Eugene.
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Audrey!
The list at the bottom is the whole picture. materials is the biggest at $870. Thanks for looking so closely.
great idea, hope you get there. Greetings from Galway.
Stay strong, Audrey. Gave what I could, wish it was more. All the best
You're not alone, Audrey. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. After 24 years in hospitality I know how hard it's to ask for anything. God bless.
Hang in there, Audrey. Looking forward to the next update.
