The old Acacia bus depot needs a solar-powered water pump - Allison's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a solar-powered water pump - we need $3,800 for materials.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 11 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Acacia bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $3,800.
It will serve about 100 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $3,800 goes:
• Materials: $2,600
• Permits and inspections: $180
• Safety equipment and signage: $490
• Tools hire and delivery: $530
