The Maple vacant lot needs a community garden - Kateryna's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community garden - we need $950 for materials.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 15 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Maple vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $950.
It will serve about 301 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $950 goes:
• Materials: $720
• Permits and inspections: $50
• Safety equipment and signage: $75
• Tools hire and delivery: $105
