The Maple health centre yard needs a solar-powered water pump - Tomás's neighborhood project
Volunteers in San Sebastián are raising $1,950 for a solar-powered water pump at the Maple health centre yard.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 30 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Maple health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $1,950.
It will serve about 150 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $1,950 goes:
• Materials: $1,350
• Permits and inspections: $210
• Safety equipment and signage: $290
• Tools hire and delivery: $100
