The Maple health centre yard needs a repair café workshop - Sathish's neighborhood project

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 20 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Maple health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $150, and the remaining cost is $150. It will serve about 413 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $150 goes: • Safety equipment and signage: $60 • Permits and inspections: $40 • Tools hire and delivery: $50 Thanks for reading all this.
