The Maple health centre yard needs a playground - Gerhard's neighborhood project
A community-led a playground at the Maple health centre yard that will serve 377 neighbors.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 17 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Maple health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $1,000.
It will serve about 377 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• Materials: $720
• Permits and inspections: $90
• Safety equipment and signage: $80
• Tools hire and delivery: $110
