The Maple community hall needs a repair café workshop - Rosa's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a repair café workshop - we need $800 for materials.
🇦🇷 Santa Fe, Argentina1,648 views
For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 12 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Maple community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $220, and the remaining cost is $800.
It will serve about 414 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $800 goes:
• Materials: $600
• Permits and inspections: $95
• Safety equipment and signage: $65
• Tools hire and delivery: $40
Every share and every dollar helps.

rooting for you, Rosa. Hope you get there. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Blessings.
