A community-led a repair café workshop at the Maple community hall that will serve 548 neighbors.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 9 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Maple community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $300.
It will serve about 548 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $300 goes:
• Materials: $165
• Permits and inspections: $40
• Safety equipment and signage: $20
• Tools hire and delivery: $75
Thanks for being kind about this.
