The Lotus health centre yard needs a repair café workshop - Lydia's neighborhood project
A community-led a repair café workshop at the Lotus health centre yard that will serve 425 neighbors.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 8 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Lotus health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $430, and the remaining cost is $4,000.
It will serve about 425 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $4,000 goes:
• Materials: $2,850
• Permits and inspections: $410
• Safety equipment and signage: $500
• Tools hire and delivery: $240
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
