The Lotus community hall needs a solar-powered water pump - Kouki's neighborhood project
A community-led a solar-powered water pump at the Lotus community hall that will serve 241 neighbors.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 30 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Lotus community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $1,600.
It will serve about 241 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.

• Materials: $1,225
