The Liberty vacant lot needs a solar-powered water pump - Geeta's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Muzaffarpur are raising $600 for a solar-powered water pump at the Liberty vacant lot.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 27 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $600.
It will serve about 558 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in April and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $600 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $65
• Tools hire and delivery: $70
• Materials: $465
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
