The Liberty vacant lot needs a community fridge - Dennis's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community fridge - we need $2,850 for materials.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 26 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $2,850.
It will serve about 164 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $2,850 goes:
• Materials: $1,700
• Permits and inspections: $440
• Safety equipment and signage: $185
• Tools hire and delivery: $525
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Updates from Dennis
Thank you all. We're at 7% now ($200). I'm honestly stunned. we've booked the dates and paid the deposit.
Update from Oakland: I made the first payment toward tools hire and delivery. We're at 8% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
