For three years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 8 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $450.
It will serve about 474 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $450 goes:
• Materials: $350
• Permits and inspections: $45
• Safety equipment and signage: $45
• Tools hire and delivery: $10
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Thinking of you and your family, Damilola. Hope you get there. After 26 years in farming I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Take care.
shared it with a few friends. My husband and I read this together. Love from Pune.
