The Liberty health centre yard needs a playground - Vinícius's neighborhood project

We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a playground - we need $1,200 for materials.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $1,200. It will serve about 580 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $1,200 goes: • Safety equipment and signage: $155 • Tools hire and delivery: $50 • Materials: $995 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it. - Vinícius

  1. Thank you all. We're at 82% now ($982). I'm honestly stunned. we've started the first stage.

  2. Update from Guarulhos: I met with the suppliers and confirmed the amounts. We're at 46% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.

Best of luck, Vinícius. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Wish I lived closer to Sacramento so I could bring a meal. Take care.
