The Liberty health centre yard needs a playground - Olivier's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a playground - we need $2,300 for materials.
🇫🇷 France2,353 views
For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $340, and the remaining cost is $2,300.
It will serve about 97 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,300 goes:
• Materials: $1,550
• Permits and inspections: $320
• Safety equipment and signage: $270
• Tools hire and delivery: $160
Thank you for reading my story.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Olivier
It's all in the list in the story. materials is the big one at $1,550, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. It helps to be asked.
Thanks for sharing this. Shared this with my family. I have a 9 year old who wants to send good wishes too.
Hope this works out for you. My neighbor had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Greetings from Curitiba
how is Olivier doing now?
Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. After 11 years in logistics I know how hard it's to ask for anything
Is there anything that isn't money that would help Olivier?
Stay strong, Olivier. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Blessings.
Thanks for sharing this, Olivier. Looking forward to the next update. Love from Kano.
this could happen to any of us. I'm in engineering myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Thinking of Toulouse
Keep going, Olivier. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't give up. Take care.
everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Put this on a community board in Gangnam this morning. God bless.
