The Liberty health centre yard needs a community fridge - Riku's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community fridge - we need $2,650 for materials.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 15 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $2,650.
It will serve about 127 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $2,650 goes:
• Materials: $2,000
• Permits and inspections: $270
• Safety equipment and signage: $145
• Tools hire and delivery: $235
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Stay strong, Riku. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Take care.
can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Osaka!
Thank you. If you're in Osaka I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Thanks for asking.
wishing you the best. More neighborhoods should do this. All the best!
thinking of you. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. God bless
more neighborhoods should do this. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
so sorry you're going through this. More neighborhoods should do this. My neighbor in Baton Rouge donated after I showed her your page
